Headquarters.
In a joint statement of support today, Hildebrandt and Namibia’s Ambassador Of The United Nations, Dr. Mbuende, have announced this date change shortly following Hildebrandt’s decision to record the theme song for Namibia and the acceptance to ring the peace bell at the United Nations on March 20th.
The theme song for the WPT4C (“United Nations”), written by Hildebrandt and produced by celebrity composer, Rick Bacchus, will be presented on this date in the presence of high profile media and diplomats, including the Secretary General< span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";">.
Hildebrandt said, “In order to maximize the publicity for this engagement, the new theme song has to be completed and published by a worldwide record company for the first concert in Namibia. We will need a maximum of 2-3 months of production time and for worldwide distribution and marketing. Therefore, we are negotiating a new kick-off date in Namibia that will be announced shortly. This delay will allow for optimal success of the tour”.
March 21 , 2008 is the official Independence Day for Namibia in which there will be an event at the United Nations Headquarters to present the official song for Namibia. Ambassador Mbuende and Wolfgang Baron Von Hildebrandt will make an announcement regarding the new date in a consultation with the Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Libertina Amathila.
Wolfgang Baron Von Hildebrandt, Janay Colon, Media Press officer Kyra Wiedenkeller and Chief Operating Officer Ron Alexenburg will discuss next week the process with Ambassador Mbuende.
The “United Nations” anthem will be performed for the first time in Namibia by celebrity vocalists of that region, followed by celebrity vocalists in cities around the world, from India to Tokyo. Ron Alexenburg, former Senior Vice President of Columbia/Epic Records, serves as COO of the tour, and is actively securing high profile music talent to perform on the new dates, including Gaza, EES, Ongoma, Toucy Tjtjombo and Desdemona.
Toucy Tjtjombo will record her voice in New York and Gaza, Ees, Ongoma, Desdemona will also take part in this recording session by way of an mp3 file. Once they receive the file, then they will record their voices. Once this is done they will send their recording back via email, for their voices to be added to the tracks.
